EUCALYPTUS FIBER THONG
Our classic thong is made to reconnect us to Mother Earth. 100% lyocell produced from wood of eucalyptus + beech trees that take minimal land + water to grow. Slightly sheer, they feel both breathable + supportive as close-to-body pieces. We don't use polyester/plastic is in our fabric (unlike most other undies) so your skin + most sacred parts can rest assured.
Fun Facts
+ producing one cotton shirt requires 2,700 liters of water, which is how much one person drinks in two and a half years. Lyocell on the other hand is made from organic renewable resources like eucalyptus that don't require much land, water or pesticides bc its oils naturally deter pests. It's also manufactured in a closed loop system and bc it's made of plants, it naturally can return to nature.
+ lyocell is breathable, moisture wicking, tends to not wrinkle easily, great for sensitive skin, antibacterial and biodegradable
+ according to the UN, the fashion industry dumps an estimated 92 million tons of textile waste into landfills each year. lyocell helps solve for this, as it's made to last and able to biodegrade.
Certifications
The fibers of our super soft elastic have a Gold Material Health Certificate from the Cradle-to-Cradle Product Innovation Institute. More importantly they have a Hohenstein Environment Compatibility Certification, meaning they can decompose in active soil w/o releasing harmful substances into the environment. Instead, they release CO2 + water, becoming part of the continuous cycle of nature :)
